Knowledge is powerful, and we believe in the democratization of information. That's why Low Key Civics aims to provide free introductory American civic education so you can make informed decisions for you and your community.
If you find yourself on this page it’s likely you already have an interest in politics, so congratulations you’re off to a great start!
Maybe you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with the abundance of information and sensationalist headlines being thrown at you on a daily basis. Maybe you’re feeling confused about all the different buzzwords and terminology.
If you’re not sure about your interest in politics and are wondering when did everything become so politicized anyway? The answer is, since always. Where you go to school, the kind of people you meet, your salary, the products you buy etc. are all affected by policies made by, you guessed it, politicians!
Either way, your curiosity brought you here, so why not check us out and learn a thing or two!
Starting in September, you will receive a weekly one page educational newsletter every Sunday. Each lesson includes:
1 introduction to a civics related concept
1 introduction to an election related concept
3 election related headlines from the previous week
Election 2020 up to date opinion polls
Information on important upcoming dates

Harry and Gabriela met somewhat serendipitously in 2014 while they were both living in Germany. They currently reside in Barcelona where they share an apartment with their two cats.
Gabriela was born in Ecuador and raised in Spain and Canada. Her family's exile from Spain during the Franco dictatorship and her Ecuadorian heritage led her to having a profound interest in social issues and politics. While she mainly focused her career on tourism, she continued to invest her free time in advocating for various social causes and education.
She is now the founder of Gabs Away , a recently launched culinary and cultural series of events created to discuss thought provoking topics.
Harry is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His passion for politics and involvement in public life started young. He served in the US Army in Europe where he continued his engagement and interest with politics and international diplomacy. In Barcelona, Harry has worked with non partisan organizations to inform, and register Americans living abroad on elections and politics in general. He holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations and Military Affairs with a double minor in German and East Asian Studies from the Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina and a Masters degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University.
